How
long will it take to get my furniture?
When we receive
your order at the factory, it is then placed into
production. Each piece is carefully handcrafted
to order. We start with furniture grade pine lumber
and cut and mill each piece as if it were going
into our own home. We then finish the furniture
with a 13 step process to complete the ensemble.
This complete process takes about a week and a half.
Depending on the work load of the factory, you can
expect your fine, hand crafted furniture, delivered
into your home within two weeks of when you place
your order. |
I have
heard that pine is a very soft wood?
Pine is a considered
from the "soft wood" family. The
type of pine we use, Ponderosa Pine, is one of the
harder of the soft wood family. Pine has been used
for furniture for as long as furniture has been
being made. You can still see heirlooms in
museums built in the shaker era. In these
times of throw-a-way products, you will be very
proud to be able to pass down our furniture for
generations to come. |
Is there
any press board or particle
board in your furniture?
No, absolutely
not! We build all of our furniture with the tradition
of it being able to stand up to the test of time.
Particle board is great for use in things that are
not going to be moved or opened very often. Furniture
is no place for particle board. We use only 100%
furniture grade, Ponderosa Pine. From the drawer
construction to the tops of the dressers, it is
all solid Ponderosa Pine. |
How long
can I expect my furniture to last?
Because we only
use solid wood to construct your piece of furniture,
you will have your piece of furniture for as long
as you want it. We have been in business since 1982
and we have seen several of our pieces that customers
have refinished. After 20 years the furniture still
looks brand new. Of course, the finish will wear,
do to climatic conditions, but the wood will be
here forever... |
What
type of care does my furniture require?
We use a mar-proof
lacquer on each piece of furniture. The only thing
that you will need to do to care for your solid
wood furniture is to treat it with pure lemon oil.
You will only need to do this about every month.
Just dust the furniture along with your normal house
cleaning chores, but use a good lemon oil to dust
your furniture. This will keep the deep luster that
only solid wood will provide. A good lemon oil can
be found at any grocery store. Just don't get one
with a stain added.

What type of warrantee
comes with my furniture?
The
Pine Factory Furniture Company guarantees their
furniture for as long as you own it. If anything
should happen to it, such as: Cracking, warping, splitting
or any workmanship related problem, The Pine Factory
will fix or replace it. There is not a better warrantee
anywhere. That is how proud The Pine Factory is
about its quality. The Pine Factory has been
in business since 1982 and is now well into second
generation management. So rest assured, we will
be there to stand behind our warrantee. |
What colors
are available?
Currently we
have four different colors available:
-
Natural
- We finish sand the piece of furniture by hand
to assure that when we apply our 10 step lacquer
finish, that the natural beauty of the wood
will show through. When your piece of furniture
has seasoned it will be a golden honey color.
-
White Wash
- We apply a light white wash effect to the
piece of furniture before applying our 10 step
lacquer finish. When your piece of furniture
has seasoned it will have the natural color
of ponderosa pine before it has been processed
other than it will have a sheen to it.
-
Country
Oak - We apply a light brown stain to your piece
of furniture, hand rubbing the stain to penetrate
every grain of wood. This process is only used
by masters of craftsmanship. Most of all furniture
companies feel this is too time consuming and
have resorted to time saving steps, but also
sacrificing quality at the same time.
-
Dark Walnut
- We apply a dark walnut stain to your piece
of furniture and use the same process as above.
This color is a deep, dark, rich color. It brings
out the grain and character of the solid wood
furniture.

What type of drawer
glides does my furniture have?
There are many
drawer glide systems available for manufacturers
to use these days. The choice of many manufacturers
are what is called a center mount glide. It is very
easy to install and very forgiving to the shoddy
workmanship that many manufacturers are releasing
to the public. We use a European slide, which is
a roller on each side of the drawer box. They come
with a lifetime warrantee and we have to set the
tolerance at less than one sixteenth of an inch.
These slides you will only find in very expensive
cabinets and very rarely in furniture because of
the time consuming nature of the glide. |
If down the road I want
to refinish my furniture,
is that possible?
Because we use
a solid wood, you will be able to refinish your
piece of furniture many times. Now days most manufacturers
have gone to a veneer. Which is a very small piece
of wood over a core of plywood or "MDF".
One of the many drawbacks are that you can not refinish
the piece of furniture because the finish process
penetrates past the solid wood and into the core.
So by the time you have stripped the finish you
are into the core of the veneer. |
What
would be the advantage to
buying this furniture over someone else's?
If
you have not visited one of our showrooms, you need
to do that. You will be able to tell right off the
QUALITY, WORKMANSHIP AND SUPERIOR MATERIALS used
to produce your fine piece of furniture. Other manufacturers
will try to show you quality on the surface but
it only runs skin deep. When you look at the piece
of furniture closer you can see that it will not
stand up to the test of time. When you see our furniture
you will find quality from the inside out. From
the 5 piece drawer construction to our 13 step hand
rubbed finish. This coupled with all the answers
above gives all of our customers a clear choice
when purchasing furniture.
